When winter's chill doth grip the land once more,
And nature's palette fades to shades of gray,
I long for spring's return, its vibrant hue,
When flowers bloom and birdsong fills the day.

But soon enough, the summer's heat will rise,
And lush green leaves will cast their dancing shade.
Autumn then arrives, with colors that surprise,
As leaves in fiery hues begin to fade.
